Enjoy life with the one you love

Sometimes we just need to know that enjoying our lives is a life saving instruction from God.

Let’s read that in Ecclesiastes 9:7-10 which reads beautifully on how to enjoy this life and whom to enjoy it with. Reading from the message contemporary English Bible with some words coiled from the Amplified Bible. Shall we?

“Seize life! Eat bread with gusto,

Drink wine with a robust and joyful heart.

Oh yes—God takes pleasure in your pleasure! ,[if you are righteous, wise, and in the hands of God]; For God has already approved of you.

Dress festively every morning. Let your clothes always be white,(with decency)

Don’t skimp on colors and scarves. And make sure your head is anointed with oil ( gladness)

Relish and enjoy life with the spouse you love each and every day of your precarious life.

Each day is God’s gift. It’s all you get in exchange for the hard work of staying alive. So make the most of each one!

Whatever your hands find to do, grab it and do it heartily with all your might.

This is your one and only chance at it,

For there’s neither work to do nor, planing nor thoughts to think, nor wisdom and knowledge to share in the company of the dead, where you’re most certainly headed.”

In addition as to why you should enjoy everyday, did you know that a Holy day for God is not really the day you fast and mourn but rather the days you celebrate God’s goodness big time? In the Jewish tradition for example, it was unacceptable to fast on thanksgiving.

Moreover, see this verse in Nehemiah which talks about how to celebrate a Holy day. 8:10-12

“Then he said unto them, Go your way, eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our Lord: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the Lord is your strength.

¹¹ So the Levites stilled all the people, saying, Hold your peace, for the day is holy; neither be ye grieved.

¹² And all the people went their way to eat, and to drink, and to send portions, and to make great mirth, because they had understood the words that were declared unto them.”

God wants you happy and joyful, he wants you looking good daily as a show of joy in purity both inside and outside. He wants you happy and hardworking concerning what you do for a living.

He wants you happy and merry with your spouse and he wants you extending your joys to others who are less privileged.

These are the ways to enjoy life, if you have been cheated, remember what our reading says. Make everyday count like though it were your last chance. Don’t quarrel and keep malice with your spouse, two wrongs never make a right. This has been my guiding principle. Overcome all evil with good.

Let nothing cheat you anymore, choose to be happy and merry everyday. The joy of the Lord is your strength. Celebrate Him.
